4010 Spring Field Peas OG Cover Crop - 50 lb Bag

Great spring cover crop grows 3-4' tall. Peas smother weeds better than spring-sown clover. Peas can fix up to 100+ lbs nitrogen/acre. Grow alone or mix with small grain like spring oats. 4010 Spring Field Peas are speckled forage peas that produce large amount of biomass. Excellent forage yields.

4010 Spring Field Peas can also be grown as a winterkill cover crop with oats where winter temperatures go down to 10°F.

Exceed inoculant recommended (Pea/Vetch/Lentil or Garden Combo).

Plant in spring or late summer/fall. Sow 5 lbs per 1,000 sq ft (200 lbs/acre) alone, or 3 lbs per 1,000 sq ft (120 lbs/acre) mixed with oats, winter rye, or ryegrass.
