Howler is a novel biofungicide (Pseudomonas chlororaphis strain AFS009), effective on a wide range of soil-borne and foliar diseases, including Rhizoctonia, Pythium, Fusarium, Phytophthora, Sclerotinia, Colletotrichum, and Botrytis. Howler works through multiple modes of action: producing antibiotics that directly attack pathogens; producing enzymes that break down the cell walls of fungi and prevent attachment of spores to leaves, and inducing plant resistance to inhibit fungal growth. Howler can be used effectively at every phase of production: greenhouse through harvest and post-harvest. To enhance performance, consider adding a surfactant that is known to be safe to the target crop to the spray tank to improve penetration and coverage of above-ground portions of the plant.
